The 2024 Baby Crawl Race at the New Orleans Pelicans’ halftime show was a spectacle of cuteness and comedy, leaving basketball fans in stitches. Sponsored by Ochsner Children’s Hospital, this unique event showcased 17 adorable competitors with names like “Diaper McQueen,” “Bottle Rocket,” and “Kangaroo Jack,” each ready to crawl their way to glory.

The race kicked off with much fanfare, but the babies had their own plans. Some waved to the crowd, others decided to nap mid-race, and one enthusiastic crawler was disqualified for standing up and walking. Despite the chaos, the little athletes brought the crowd to life with their unpredictable moves and adorable antics.

In a nail-biting finish, it was JoJo from Mandeville who crawled her way to victory, winning over $700 in prizes and the coveted Baby Crawl Championship Trophy. The race was not just about the winner—it celebrated the charm and hilarity of these little racers, making it an unforgettable event for everyone watching. Congratulations to all the participants for bringing so much laughter and joy!

I’m Balint, founder of this site and a father (and dad) to a baby-turned toddler. I found the world of babies so fascinating that I started a blog dedicated only to that topic. By the way, I studied physics, engineering (PhD, MSc), and therefore I do a thorough research when I write about something. Since it’s a blog, of course I also write about my personal experiences.
